A smaller world model predicts robot motion

What changedGAWM predicts future scene features instead of generating full video, then decodes robot actions from the present and forecast. With fewer than 100 million parameters, the authors report stronger RoboTwin results than billion-parameter world-action models and lower error and latency on held-out dual-arm demonstrations.

A system diagram shows GAWM encoding robot cameras, predicting future latent features and decoding a chunk of actions.

The useful part

Why it matters

Predictive control can get closer to real-time hardware without placing a giant video generator in the loop.

Keep in mind

Good to know

The physical result measures action-prediction error on held-out demonstrations, not autonomous success across unseen real tasks.
